15-Year-Old Student Arrested For Bomb Threat At Central Valley High School

Spokane Valley Police Department Press Release: 

On Wednesday, March 20, 2013, Spokane Valley Sheriff's Deputies investigated a bomb threat at Central Valley High School.  Due to the nature of the threat, Central Valley School District officials chose to cancel class at the high school for the day to ensure the safety of the students and staff.  Two Fairchild Air force Base K-9 units were utilized and cleared the school.
 
Sheriff's Deputy Cole Speer has been investigating the threat and today, Tuesday, March 26, made an arrest as the result of this investigation.  A 15-year-old juvenile female student was arrested for making the threat, a felony charge.  According to Deputy Speer's investigation, the threat was made because the suspect was not prepared for an assignment due in class.  The juvenile female was booked into the Juvenile Detention Center this morning.

    MEDICAL LAKE, Wash. - Just after 1 a.m. Monday, several Spokane County Sheriff's deputies responded a call of a possible suicidal man. Deputies spoke with family members at their home, where they found a "goodbye" letter, but could not locate the young man. During the call, additional information was received mentioning a possible method of drowning.
