Fever Get Used to Fast Play of IFL

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. - The transition from the outdoor game to the indoor game can be a difficult change, instead of the standard 100 yards, the field is only 50 yards in the IFL. The players on the field drops from 11 to 8, receivers also get a running start at the line of scrimmage. All of these different dynamics make for a faster game and some of the Fever and notice the difference.

"For me it's just making plays when I can. Like getting to the ball, it's a fast tempo game and it's a small field so you have to get on them fast and you have to make tackles and make plays, when they come to you. I've tackled Lamichael James but that quarterback we played in Texas, like, 'I cant even get this guy.' The field is smaller and it's just you're not rushing with four guys you're rushing with three." said Brandon Rankin, Fever Defensive lineman.
