Richland Police Arrest Man for String of Burglaries
RICHLAND, Wash. - A man from Richland is facing burglary charges after police caught him red handed.
Around 9:45 Wednesday night, Richland Police say a woman living on the 200 block of Gage Boulevard in Richland called 911 and said there was a man in her apartment. The woman told police she screamed and the man ran out the back door.
About 15 minutes later, officers were in the area when neighbors of an elderly woman on the 300 block of Quailwood Place called 911 to report a burglary in the woman's home.
Police say when they arrived, they caught 34-year-old Jon J. King inside the home.
Officers say he fought them, but they arrested and booked him into the Benton County Jail.
Police say they believe King has been involved in several burglaries in the same area since May of 2012.
Officers say they're now working to recover any stolen goods.
