Quarterback battle reopens for Fever

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Friday night Kasey Peters might not start at quarterback for the Tri-Cities Fever. Head coach Adam Shackleford admitted he is exploring his options. Now Dante Warren is getting more throws in practice. So far in three games, Peters completed 52 percent of his passes, throwing 10 touchdowns and six interceptions. Shackleford says peters has to prove he's still the guy.

"Kasey has to play better. Right now he's still our starter. He needs to play better. We're giving Dante a few more reps this week. They'll compete for the job. I expect Kasey to play well this week if he's our starter and bounce back. He's still a rookie at quarterback. He's getting better. He didn't play very well in the first half. He knows it. I know it, and we need to get that fixed," Shackleford said.

Friday the Fever host the Texas Revolution at Toyota Center at 7:05 p.m.
