Commercial Burglaries Are On the Rise in Kennewick

KENNEWICK, Wash., -- The number of commercial burglaries is increasing in Kennewick according to the Kennewick Police Department.

The increase includes seven coffee shops, three physicians' offices, two restaurants', insurance offices, dental offices as well as a tavern, convenience store, auto service store and a quick cash store.

Of the 21 incidents, 19 involve the method of entry as glass breakage and in most instances, the suspects have taken cash left in the business overnight.  Kennewick Police say that there appears to be similarities among the 21 burglaries and they are also similar to several commercial burglaries in Pasco.

No suspects have been identified.
