HERMISTON, Ore. - Good shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston is
expanding its surgical space. Officials at the hospital broke ground on
Tuesday for the $12.3 million project.
The new space will include 2 surgical suites, 14 additional day beds, a central supply storage facility and staff locker rooms.

because of the population growth in our area, we're responding to the
increase in business," said DAvid Hughes, the hospital's vice president.
The project is expected to take 15-18 months to complete.
