Have you ever wanted to try an obscure Olympic sport?
It's not every day that the opportunity arises to try your hand at curling, a lesser-known Winter Olympics sport. But that's exactly what locals got to do at the Frontier Ice Arena on Monday, as the Coeur D'Alene Curling Club gave a chance for people to test their skills.
"I've actually had a really weird fascination with curling since I watched it when I was 14 on the Olympics," one participant said. "So when I saw this was here I was just super excited about it, a little bit giddy almost."
The club is starting a league this spring and if you want to try your hand at it before it starts, the club is hosting another open house on Saturday at 2:15 p.m.
