Tri-Cities hoping roster moves lead Fever in right direction

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Inabilities and injuries are holding back the Tri-Cities Fever. They hope to get it together by Friday against the winless Wyoming Cavalry. Wednesday Tri-Cities responded with four transactions. They activated running back Keola Antolin. Tri-Cities cut defensive end Mohammed Usman and wide receiver Rashad Mason. Also they added defensive lineman Malcolm Riley.

"If you can find one out of five that can help you, I think it's a reasonable ratio. But sometimes mid-season you find a diamond in the rough or one that really helps you and comes in at the right time," head coach Adam Shackleford said. "We evaluate where we're at. We have a list, if guys aren't getting it done, we bring in new guys to fill spots. We have injuries. We're getting guys back."
