The Spokane Chiefs will face the Portland Winterhawks in the WHL Playoff's Western Conference Semi-Finals and start the series on the road with games one and two on Friday, April 5th and Saturday, April 6th.  Spokane will host games three and four on Tuesday, April 9th and Wednesday, April 10th.

Tickets for the first two Chiefs' home games of the series are on sale now and available by calling the Chiefs ticket office at (509) 535-PUCK or TicketsWest at (800) 325-SEAT.  Ticket package holders will use ticket 'C' for game three and ticket 'D' for game four.

The series will return to Portland on Saturday, April 13th for a potential game five.  Game six, if necessary, would be played in Spokane on Monday, April 15th.  Portland would host game seven on Wednesday, April 17th.

The Chiefs advanced past the first round for the 18th time in 28 seasons with a five game series win over the Tri-City Americans.  Portland earned a six game series win over Everett.

The Western Conference Semi-Final series is the 10th time Spokane and Portland have met in the post -season.  Five of the series, including four of the last six, have gone the distance. Of the series where every game was played, the Winterhawks won a nine game series in 1985-86 while the Chiefs won a seven game series in 1996 after they came from a 0-3 deficit, the only team in CHL history to accomplish that feat.  Portland won in 1998 and went on to win the Memorial Cup in Spokane.  The Chiefs took game seven in 2003.  Their 2010 first round match-up, won by Portland, became the first in WHL history to have the road team win each game.  Portland earned an overtime win in game seven in the Spokane Arena.  Spokane had to win game six in each seven game series to force game seven.  The Winterhawks won the last series, 2011, in six games.
