St. Maries Home Destroyed In Thursday Morning Fire

Posted: Updated:

ST. MARIES GAZETTE - A home at 1922 Center Avenue in St. Maries was destroyed by fire this morning.

Clint Croson recently moved out of the home but many of his belongings were still in the house at the time of the fire.

The call came in about 7:15 a.m. There was considerable smoke when firefighters arrived on the scene.

Only two volunteer firefighters responded initially and they had to wait until more firefighters arrived before attacking the fire.

Fire Chief Larry Naccarato said fire departments throughout the area face a shortage of volunteers.

Firefighters remain on the scene at this hour.
