Fire Crews Investigating House Fire in West Richland

WEST RICHLAND, Wash. -- Fire crews are investigating the cause of a fire at a West Richland home tonight on South 38th Avenue. Officials tell NBC Right Now that they believe the fire started in the kitchen. 

Crews from Richland and Benton County Fire Districts 2 and 4 responded to the fire. 

The homeowners were not home at the time, and the residents of the adjacent home were evacuated.

The adjacent home was protected. No injuries were reported.
