"Plan B" Pill Could Become Available to All Girls

NBCRightNow.com - The morning after pill may soon be available to girls of all ages, if a New York judge's ruling is upheld.

A federal judge has ordered the Food and Drug Administration to make the morning after pill, also called Plan B, available over-the-counter without age restrictions. Right now teens 16 and under need a prescription for the drug.

The emergency contraception pill has been shown to prevent pregnancy if taken within three days of unprotected sex.
