Fever falter and hand Cavalry its first win

Posted: Updated:

CASPER, Wyo. -- The Tri-Cities Fever lost to the Wyoming Cavalry, 36-34 Friday night. Fever kicker Brady Beeson missed a potential game-winning field goal. But he accounted for more offense than the quarterbacks--yes, plural. Kasey Peters started the game, but Dante Warren finished it. Neither quarterback threw a touchdown.

Running back Keola Antolin returned to the field for the Fever, but was limited to one yard on one carry. Keithon Flemming led the Fever rushing attack with 12 carries for 30 yards and two touchdowns. Warren added a rushing touchdown.

Tri-Cities drops to 1-4 while Wyoming improves to 1-4. Next Friday the Fever host the defending United Bowl champion Sioux Falls Storm. Live coverage Friday on SWX begins at 7 p.m.
