NBCRightNow.com - United Airlines is putting its grounded Boeing 787 back in the flight schedule, even though government authorities still have the fleet grounded.
United announced Monday that the plane is in its schedule starting May 31.
A United Continental Holdings Inc. spokesperson says the airline will make more schedule changes as it gets a better idea of when the plane will be cleared to fly again. It is planning to resume international 787 flying June 10.
Boeing proposed a fix for the 787's smoldering batteries, but still needs approval from the Federal Aviation Administration. The fix must then be installed on each plane.
