Water Follies Organizers Move Into New Facility

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. -Organizers for the Water Follies event have a new home in Kennewick. The new facility, located at 621 Gum Street, has been more than a year in the making.

The 9,600 square foot facility features a reception area, a large board room, two offices and plenty of storage space. Organizers say the new location is not only exciting, but also convenient because they have never had a centralized location.

"We had an office in one location and a warehouse in another...a number of our volunteer stored materials [located elsewhere] and we had an opportunity, working with some of our community partners, to put this great building together where now we're all together under one roof," said Kathy Powell, Water Follies Event Coordinator.

More than a dozen community partners helped pay for the new facility.

The 48th Water Follies event runs July 26th- 28th.
