Umatilla Commerce & Visitor Center Hosts Spring Clean Up

Posted: Updated:

UMATILLA, Ore. - This weekend, the Umatilla Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center is hosting a spring clean-up day to prepare for the upcoming tourism season.

This Saturday, April 13th, starting at 9 AM, the center is looking for volunteers who will help plant new shrubs, weed, trim dead branches, spread bark mulch and generally improve the look of the center.

Organizers ask that you bring any tools you might have - shovels, leaf blowers, clippers, gloves, etc. - to help make the job easier for you. The city says anyone with a pick-up truck who can haul away debris is welcome, and organizers will pay for gas.

The Umatilla Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center is located at 100 Cline Ave. For more information, call 541-922-4825.
