Police Arrest Woman Accused of Beating a WSU Professor

UPDATE:

PULLMAN, Wash. - A female student at Washington State University has been arrested in connection with the beating of a professor near campus.
    
Pullman police arrested 21-year-old Madeline A. Fouts Wednesday after they received an anonymous tip. Police say they arrested her on suspicion of rendering criminal assistance and providing false statements to a public servant.
    
Officers say they have solid leads on three remaining male suspects.
    
WSU President Elson Floyd donated $10,000 Tuesday to the reward fund to help catch the assailants.
    
David Warner remains in critical condition at a Spokane hospital. Police say he was beaten about 2 a.m. on March 30 while intervening in a fight between an acquaintance and a group of college-age people.
