Mariners Option Luetge, Recall LaFramboise

SEATTLE, Wash. -- Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager Jack Zduriencik announced today the following roster moves:

 

  • ·         LHP Bobby LaFromboise recalled from AAA Tacoma (pronounced lah-frahm-BOYCE)
  • ·         LHP Lucas Luetge optioned to AAA Tacoma

 

LaFromboise, 26, has made two appearances for the Rainiers combining to not allow a run in 2.2 innings pitched. He has struck out four and not walked a batter. The left-hander was the 2012 Tacoma Rainiers Pitcher of the Year after going 5-2 with 4 saves and a 1.59 ERA in 27 appearances. LaFromboise was originally selected by the Mariners in the 8th round of the 2008 June draft out of the University of New Mexico. He will be making his Major League debut with his first appearance, and will wear uniform #30.

 

Luetge, 26, has appeared in four games for the Mariners this season, posting a 8.31 ERA (4 ER, 4.1 IP). He threw a career-high 3.0 innings in last night's 16-9 loss vs. the Astros.
