Grab Your Hat! Columbia River Cowboy Gathering & Music Festival in Town

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. - The 10th annual Columbia River Cowboy Gathering & Music Festival is coming up this weekend.

The three day festival celebrates the western way of life through music, poetry, performances and merchandise.  This weekend's event supports the Columbia Basin Veteran's Coalition and the Rascals Rodeo for disabled children and adults. This year however, directors are awarding one sponsoring business the first annual "Champion of the Year" award.

"Clover Island Inn," said festival director, Budd Massengale, "has always, since the day one when we started this, has stepped up to the plate. Without them we wouldn't be able to do this at the price that we can, and that's because of their involvement, so we really appreciate it."

The festival runs Friday, April 12th through Sunday, April 14th. You can buy tickets at the door, or in advance at the Kennewick Ranch and Home. You can also reserve tickets and pay over the phone if you call ahead to (509) 851-4287.

General Admission for daytime PLUS evening Concert admission is $15.00. Daytime only admission is $5.00.

WASHINGTON: It's barely pumpkin latte season and already signs are up advertising *flu* shots! One vaccine that's been off the market for a couple years is back this year. Two years ago the nasal spray vaccine was taken off the market because the Center for Disease Control said it was no longer effective for that particular flu season. For those who tend to get a little needle frantic, the CDC now says this year's nasal spray vaccine should be effective for this year's flu strain. I...More >>
