Idea of New Regional Emergency Comm. System Continues to Gain Traction

On Wednesday, Franklin County Commissioners approved an interlocal agreement to hire a consultant to create a plan for forming a regional dispatch system.

Pasco, Richland, and Kennewick city leaders already signed off on the deal and so have Benton County commissioners.

A recent study found that regionalizing the system could improve service and cut costs.
