BURBANK, WASH.-- The Hanford Reach Interpretive Center is working with the National Park Service to offer a class on personal interpretation.
The class teaches people how to tell stories and speak in public.
Saturday the class visited Sacajawea State Park, McNary National Wildlife Refuge and Whitman Mission National Historic Site.
"Giving them the skills to take the stories and information they already know and tell them to the public in a way that turns them into something that the public not only understands information but understands that these places have a significance in meaning that go far beyond the information that they represent," said Marc Blackburn, National Park Service.
The Hanford Reach Interpretive Center is scheduled to open in June of 2014, but until then they're offering educational opportunities for the community.
