String of ATV Thefts in South Kennewick and Finley

BENTON COUNTY, Wash.-- Benton County deputies are investigating a rash of ATV thefts in the South Kennewick and Finley areas.

Deputies say at least five ATV have been stolen in the last two weeks from one neighborhood.

One man is in the Benton County Jail after confessing to stealing two of the vehicles.

A neighbor reported the man when she saw him walking away from an ATV.

Deputies have recovered one and returned it to it's owner. But the other four are still missing.

They've all been stolen within a couple blocks of the area around 27th Avenue and Oak Street.

The sheriff's office is questioning the man in custody to find other suspects.

"He told us about the theft of the ATV, pointed out the location where he stole it from. And we're continually investigating further to see if we can link other ATVs to this gentleman or acquaintances," said Sgt. Matt Clarke, Benton County Sheriff's Office.

"We've never had a problem. I mean we don't leave out keys in our cars but our ATV, our lawn mower, we've never had an issue and never had a problem with," said Brady Hagen, whose ATV was stolen.

Hagen lost his ATV a weeks ago and hasn't gotten it back.

His ATV was parked right next to his house when it was stolen.

Deputies are still investigating this string of thefts and ask people to call them if they have any information.
