BURIEN, Wash. - The City of Burien plans to dispose the carcass of a fin whale by towing it Tuesday evening to a secure beach on Puget Sound where it can decay naturally.

The carcass washed on to Seahurst Park Beach Saturday.

Experts who examined the whale say it looks like it was hit and killed by a ship and dragged into the sound on the bow. Some red paint was found on its carcass.
