Posted: Updated:

SEATTLE (AP) - Seattle police say a 53-year-old woman was arrested early Thursday after allegedly attacking her roommate with a hammer, hatchet and broken board.

Police say the victim and his girlfriend where in their room Wednesday night when the suspect came to the door with a hammer and hatchet in each hand and began yelling. The woman then attacked her roommate outside the room.

When officers arrived at the house, the victim was waiting for police outside while the suspect yelled through a window. After the suspect didn't respond to orders, officers went into the house through the backdoor.

She was booked into King County Jail for investigation of domestic violence assault.
