WATERTOWN, MASS. - Hundreds of thousands of resident in Boston and it's suburbs were told to stay in their homes for most of Friday as law enforcement searched for the suspect of Monday's marathon bombing.

Of those residents following the shelter in place order given by the Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick was Gonzaga graduate Shannon O'Dell.

She is currently working in Boston as a pediatric psychiatrist.

O'Dell lives half a mile away from where the early Friday morning shootout left one bombing suspect dead and an officer in critical condition.

O'Dell was able to send photos from her front door that show heavy police activity Friday afternoon.

She describes her neighborhood as usually peaceful and quiet, but says the last day and a half have become something out of a movie.

Good news though, O'Dell and the rest of Boston and the surrounding communities can finally rest a little easier Friday night.

The second marathon bombing suspect, 19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, was successfully taken into custody.
