City of Yakima Temporarily Shuts Down King St. Irrigation System

YAKIMA, Wash. -- The City of Yakima's King Street Irrigation System was temporarily shut down on Friday, April 19th so repairs can be made to the pipeline that supplies the system with water.

Repair work begins Monday, April 22nd.

Approximately 160 City of Yakima irrigation customers are served by the King Street System.

Repairs to the privately-owned Broadgauge pipeline that provides water to the system are
expected to be completed by Friday, April 26th.

Homes supplied by the King Street System are primarily located in the area from West Mead Avenue to West Pierce Street between 3rd Avenue and Cornell Avenue.
