MOXEE, Wash. - A cemetery's storage facility is burglarized and an alert citizen leads police to the suspected burglar.

It was around 6:00 a.m. Saturday morning when an alert citizen noticed some suspicious activity along Faucher Road in Moxee. It was reported to the Yakima County Sheriff's Office that a man had left a tractor with its hydraulic bucket up in an unsafe position.

The Sheriff's Office and Moxee Police found the 52-year-old man shortly thereafter. He was booked into the Yakima County Jail on suspicion of burglary. His name has not yet been released.

Police said the tractor had been taken from the Holy Rosary Cemetery and upon further investigation they found the storage facility had been burglarized. A dump truck and a 4x4 utility implement had also been removed. Most of the property has been recovered but the dump truck is still missing.

It's described as a light blue 1963 Chevrolet flat bed dump with a Washington license plate of B41307P.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff's Office or contact Crime Stoppers.
