YAKIMA, Wash.--Breakfast was served in Yakima. Knights of Columbus hosted their annual fundraiser for Camp Prime Time at the Holy Family Catholic Church.
The event typically raises around $2,000, which helps provide kids with special needs or terminal illnesses a weekend in the woods with their families.
The camp director said it's little fundraisers like this that keeps the camp going.
"If you've never done anything like that with the kids spending the weekend with them, helping them out and stuff like that it's the most gratifying thing I've ever done," said Terry Wauzynski, a member of the Knights of Columbus.
This summer the camp will host 19 different excursions. More than a dozen families will go each time, and it's totally free for them.
