Kennewick Bar & Restaurant Closing Doors

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- It's last call for a Kennewick sports bar and restaurant.

Employees at Jackson's on Kennewick Avenue have until the end of the month to pack up. The owner of the Richland location took over the Kennewick business last year, and says he just doesn't have the time to run both. Still, he says its hard to close the doors on so much history.

"He was the manager here, I don't think he had purchased it yet. He says, 'this is the coolest thing since sliced bread, were going to do hot wings here in the Tri-Cities.' So the very first time hot wings were ever served in the Tri-Cities were served at this location in the Tri-Cities," said owner Chuck Fisher.

Many of the employees were able to find jobs at the Jackson's in Richland, which is staying open. Over the next few months, the building's new owners will transform this sports bar into a comedy club ultra lounge, scheduled to open sometime in July.
