Posted: Updated:

NBCRightNow.com -- A Hermiston High School grad is capturing the national spotlight on NBC's singing competition "The Voice."

Ryan Hayes is one half of the singing duo called Midas Whale, which took the stage tonight representing team Adam Levine.

The duo sang Elvis Presley's "Burning love," competing against another singer.

Levine said it was a tough choice, but decided to keep Hayes and his singing partner on the show for at least another week.
