Wine and Beer Samples Now Allowed at Farmers Markets
NBCRightNow.com - Wineries and microbreweries can now offer samples at farmers markets in Washington.
The state Senate passed the legislation Tuesday after having been amended and passed in the state House. The bill now heads to Gov. Inslee's desk for signing.
The measure allows three wineries or microbreweries per day to offer samples. The samples must be two ounces or less, limited to no more than two ounces of samples per customer per day. Those who serve samples must possess a class 12 or class 13 server permit. Food must also be provided for sampling customers.
