Manhattan Project National Park Bill Passes Committee

WASHINGTON D.C. - The House National Resources Committee has passed a bill to create a Manhattan Project National Historical Park.

  The bill introduced by Washington Rep. Doc Hastings and legislators from Tennessee and New Mexico passed unanimously.

  The park would include facilities at Hanford, Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and Los Alamos, New Mexico.

  The bill will now go up for consideration by the full House.  Similar legislation is making its way through the Senate.
