Posted: Updated:

Pasco, Wash. - Hollywood actor and motivational speaker, Eric Martinez spoke with students at several Pasco Schools, Thursday, about the consequences of bullying.

His message was a part of the "I Got Your Back Tri-Cities" campaign. Martinez stressed the importance of being kind and respectful to others. Bullying is personal to the actor because he was bullied as a child.

"I've been there...I know what that's like," said Martinez. "I've been one of these 6th and 7th graders that say, 'I'm afraid to speak out...I'm afraid to speak up...I'm afraid to be me because I don't won't other people to pick on me'...I've been that person," he continued.

Martinez signed autographs for students following his presentation.

He's been seen in several films including, "Love Lies Bleeding" and "Ghost of Mars."
