Hermiston Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash near Mabton

MABTON, Wash. - A Hermiston man is dead after the Washington State Patrol said he lost control of the Honda motorcycle he was riding on Glade Road about eight miles south of Mabton.

WSP said 75-year-old Sherman Brown was trying to turn onto Alderdale Road when he lost control, hit another motorcycle rider and was thrown from the bike when he went off the road.

Brown died at the scene. WSP said the cause of the crash was improper turning.
