Digital Bookmobile to Visit Richland Library

Posted: Updated:

RICHLAND, Wash. -This isn't your grandfather's bookmobile.

It's the Digital Bookmobile, and Wednesday it pulls up in front of the Richland Public Library.

The Digital bookmobile goes around the country and shows readers of all ages how to download e-books from the Overdrive Collection.

"They pull up in this 18-wheeler and it's bright and vibrant and you can walk on board, walk through how to use the collection, and learn about how to make it work for you," says Librarian Connie Farr.

The bookmobile is equipped with broadband Internet-connected PCs high definition monitors, and a variety of media players, including Kindles and iPods.

The Digital Bookmobile will be parked outside the library from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday.

The first 100 visitors receive a prize and there will be give-away prizes throughout the day.
