Kennewick Murder Suspect has a Trial Date

KENNEWICK, Wash., -- A man accused of murdering his former fiance's roommate now has a trial date.

Grant Scantling waived his right to a speedy trial this morning in Benton County court.

His trial is set for July 22nd.

Kennewick Police say the 41-year-old shot and killed 24-year-old Franklin Palmer; a man living with his former fiance, Ann Krebs.

Scantling and Krebs have two children together.

He will appear in court again on June 5th for a hearing.
