KENNEWICK, Wash.- The lawyer representing a nanny on trial for manslaughter is raising questions about who's responsible for the death of a Richland boy.
Amy Graves is a friend of Kelli Jacobsen. She told jurors Friday that just before one-year-old Ryder Morrison died, the boy's mother was visibly upset with her son, and soon after the boy had a strange cry.
"He would calm down for a while. He was still very tired acting, very listless," Graves told jurors. "He was even falling asleep at times."
Under cross-examination, the boy's mother insisted disciplining her son stopped at gentle slaps on the hand.
