SALEM, Ore. - Keep an eye on your mailbox, Oregonians will begin receiving their ballots for the May 21 elections soon.
Election workers started mailing the ballots on Friday.
Ballot measures featured in this month's elections include fluoridating Portland's drinking water and tax levies to help pay for law enforcement in some of Oregon's timber counties.
Other measures to watch out for are a ban on single-use plastic bags in Newport, a tax increase to prevent further cuts to the Beaverton school district and a tax levy to maintain 911 services in Deschutes County.
All ballots must be returned to county elections officials no later than 8 p.m. on May 21 to be counted.
