YAKIMA, Wash.--People in Yakima donated their time, money and materials Saturday to help out a little baby boy in need.
Christain Lybbert first had heart surgery at just three weeks old. Born with a malformed heart and misplaced organs, Christain will need a series of surgeries and treatments for the rest of his life.
Friends said people in the community have been more than happy to help.
"There's so many people discouraged about this city and I have to be honest I was one of them too, actually but to see so many people come forward and donate," said Nini Vandeventer. "Everything we've gotten has been donated."
All of the proceeds from Saturday's sale will go towards Christian's medical and travel expenses. So far the fundraiser has garnered about $7,000.
