Early Morning Shooting Sends a Yakima Teen to the Hospital

YAKIMA, Wash.--Yakima Police are looking into an early morning shooting that put a 16-year-old boy in the hospital.

Police said the victim was shot after leaving a house along the 1200 Block of Mead Avenue where a fight happened earlier.

Police found the boy along 1st Street and Nob Hill. He went to a local hospital for surgery, and we're told he's recovering.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Yakima Police Department.
