Good Health is Good Business Program Challenge Gears Up for 2nd Year

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash.-- Local business leaders hope that a healthy lifestyle will lead to a healthier bottom line.

The Tri-City Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for the second year of their Good Health is Good Business program.

Sign-ups begin soon and the chamber expects more than 700 participants to join this yea, doubling last year's numbers.

The 100 day challenge helps local businesses give their workers some incentives to live healthier, lose weight, and win prizes.

"It helps them in the long term. Whether that's lowering absenteeism, creating better morale around the company. So this is a way for the chamber to help its members, help their own employees and make sure their businesses can grow at the same time," said Patrick Conrad, Tri-City Chamber of Commerce.

Conrad said the chamber expects many participants to return this year.
