Thousands Turn Out For Information Technology Day

KENNEWICK, Wash. - The Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick was packed on Wednesday for the 13th Annual Lockheed Martin Information Technology Day.

Organizers say nearly 2,000 people took advantage of the free community event.

There were more than 60 vendors explaining and demonstrating some of the newest technology related to their companies. There were also special speakers from Marvel Comics and Fortune Magazine.

"I didn't expect to see so many aspects of've got printers, phones, networking and software. You've got a whole plethora of connections that you wouldn't see anywhere else," said Katherine Chaney, a high school student who attend the event.

There also was an interactive robot, named Sprockit who held conversations, in real time, with people.
