Public Input Wanted for Yakima's Downtown Plan

Posted: Updated:

YAKIMA, Wash.-- The City of Yakima wants your help to plan the development of downtown.

Thursday, city leaders will  hold a public workshop on the Downtown Yakima Master Plan. They want input from people in the community about what they'd like to see in town.

Economic Development Manager, Sean Hawkins says all ideas are welcome and will be considered as they create the master plan.

"I've got a lot of ideas and some of our council members have ideas, but this is a public process and we really want those ideas from the community. That's what makes this process work," Hawkins said.

The public workshop is Thursday night, from 6:30-8pm at the Howard Johnson in Yakima.

Anyone is welcome to attend.
