RICHLAND, Wash. - There is about a week and a half left in the 2013 Feeding Families Food Drive to benefit Second Harvest.
Bechtel, URS, and its Hanford affiliates are the food drive's major sponsors. Employees from one of those affiliates, Washington Closure Hanford, have been collecting food at their offices in Richland.
They are also holding company-wide fundraising lunches, including Wednesday's sausage feed to collect cash donations.
"I think that it's a worthy cause anytime people don't have the necessities for living, as individuals and as companies we need to support the community," said Chuck Stewart with Washington Closure Hanford.
The spring food drive continues through May 18th.
Anyone can donate by dropping off food donations at our studios on Kennewick Avenue or you can make an easy donation online here.
