Finley Family Still Struggling After House Fire

Posted: Updated:

FINLEY, Wash. - A Finley family is still struggling to get back on their feet after losing everything in a house fire.

Isaac Ramos, his fiance and son lost their home last month after a small fuse sparked in the electrical box of their bedroom. No one was hurt.

Since the fire, the family has been living in a relative's camper. They say the community has been extremely supportive including the Red Cross, who provided the family with temporary relief.

However, the family's biggest concern is taking care of their 5-month-old baby.

"As of right now it's clothing and more baby stuff...you know he lost everything...we all lost everything. We walked out of that fire with what we had on our backs," said Celina Martinez, the fiance of Isaac Ramos.

The family says their insurance company is only paying for the house.

Relatives have setup an account at local Gesa Credit Unions or you can donate items by leaving a message here.

For those who tend to get a little needle frantic, the CDC now says this year's nasal spray vaccine should be effective for this year's flu strain. I...More >>
