KENNEWICK, Wash.-Mother's Day weekend marks one of the busiest for brunch. Families getting brunch at the Country Gentleman restaurant today also helped support a cause.
The tickets for the event and the proceeds from a raffle all went to the American Cancer Society. The brunch was co-sponsored by Macy's and everyone went home with a $10 gift card from the store. About $2,000 were raised today.
"This $2,000 means that there are more patients being served," said Cheri Stoker of the American Cancer Society. "There's more research being done, there's more advocacy, more education and everything that we do."
Macy's put on a fashion show to display their latest trends. Their fundraising went towards the Relay For Life of Columbia River.
