Fever Defense Diggin in

Posted: Updated:

KENNWICK, Wash. - One of the exciting parts about the indoor football game is the amount of scoring. But that was not the case on Saturday. The Tri-Cities Fever held the Wyoming Cavalry to a defensive season best, 16 points. The Fever defense shows they can get interceptions too, they're second in the league with 16, including the three picks against Wyoming. Even the offense is taking notice.

"An Incredible feat by our defense this week, I mean how many times do you look a the scoreboard and see 16 points? In this type of game , this close environment of a game. You know what they did is just unbelievable and they really carried us to that victory," said Dante Warren, Fever quarterback.

"I'm certainly proud of the way our defense came out in the second half and performed," added Adam Shackleford, Fever head coach. "We struggled a little bit in the first half offensively, had some penalties that cost us and our defense is what kept us in it."
