Memorial Hospital Looking for Resignations

Posted: Updated:

YAKIMA, Wash.-- Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital is trying to downsize.

On Friday, hospital administrators asked all employees to consider voluntarily resigning their positions.

The hospital says a reduction in federal and state reimbursements and other budget issues have forced them to make drastic changes.

They say if not enough people volunteer, they could start laying-off employees to fix the problem.

Last week, Memorial also released 19 workers at one of their rehab clinics.
