Posted: Updated:

PORTLAND, Ore. - A city employee is raising a stink.

Julie Reynolds is suing the city, claiming a co-worker's perfume made her sick.

The lawsuit from seeks $50,000 in damages.

Reynolds, who works for the maintenance department, says she suffers with a condition called "multiple chemical sensitivity" that can be triggered by the smell of perfume or hand lotion.

Reynolds says she was sickened after an exposure in 2011 and could not return to work for several days.

A lawyer for the city says it would not comment on the lawsuit.
