McDonald's Employee Has Car Stolen, Suspected Thief Takes it in Drive-Thru

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. - A Kennewick woman is behind bars after police say she stole a vehicle and may have stolen clothing from several department stores.

Kennewick police say the owner of the stolen car, Virginia Maiden, works at the McDonald's on Kellogg and Canal. She told officers her car was stolen from her sometime between Monday night and Tuesday morning. Officers say later that day, she saw her stolen car in the McDonald's drive-thru and called police.

Officers arrested the driver, 22-year-old Katherine York, while she was leaving the drive-thru. They say they also found a large amount of clothing from JC Penney and Sears with security tags still attached in the back seat.

Police booked York for possession of a stolen vehicle and are still trying to figure out if she stole the clothing.
